Dr. Chelsea Tanous

Since Fall 2021, Chelsea has been teaching all levels of Honors and International Baccalaureate French at Davidson High School in Mobile, AL. Since 2023, she has served as the Department Chair for World Languages at Davidson, and as of Fall 2025, she is also the Assistant Girls’ Soccer Coach.
Chelsea previously taught French at the University of California at Santa Barbara, at the University of Alabama, and at Georgia Gwinett College. During the 2017-2018 academic year, she worked in France as an English teaching assistant through the Teaching Assistant Program in France, while collecting data for her dissertation, titled “French Language Socialization Abroad” (2023).
